I. BASIS FOR ISSUANCE
This certificate and professional opinion are issued based on:
- The Law on Healthy and Safe Working Conditions (LHSWC);
- Ordinance No. 7 on the minimum requirements for health and safety when working with display screens;
- The principles of ergonomics and the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders;
- European Directive 90/270/EEC on work with display screen equipment;
- Modern European and international best practices for a dynamic work environment and the prevention of risks associated with prolonged static sitting.
The assessment was performed based on:
- Analysis of the functional characteristics of the products;
- Practical application in real work, administrative, and therapeutic environments;
- Provided expert opinions from specialists in the fields of rehabilitation, speech therapy, kinesitherapy, and manual therapy;
- Established scientific and clinical principles related to active sitting and its impact on human health.
II. SUBJECT OF ASSESSMENT
The subject of this opinion is:
"STOLETO" dynamic chairs and accessories for active sitting, including, but not limited to:
- Balance chairs;
- Kneeling chairs for active sitting;
- Balance boards and additional means for dynamic support and stabilization.
III. ERGONOMIC AND FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT
As a result of the assessment, it is determined that the products:
1. Support the maintenance of a physiologically correct posture
- facilitate proper positioning of the pelvis and spine;
- maintain natural curves (lordosis and kyphosis);
- reduce the risk of postural disorders;
2. Reduce static load
- limit prolonged fixed sitting;
- reduce compression on intervertebral discs;
- reduce the risk of chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain.
3. Activate the musculoskeletal system
- stimulate deep core muscles;
- improve balance, coordination, and stability;
- support even distribution of load.
4. Improve blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
- reduce the risk of venous stasis;
- limit the feeling of heaviness and fatigue in the lower limbs;
- support general circulation during prolonged sitting.
5. Support respiratory function and cognitive activity
- encourage an open chest position;
- improve oxygenation;
- lead to increased concentration and reduced fatigue.
