Speech therapist with practice in early childhood development, sensory integration, and modern therapeutic approaches for children with special needs.
In my practice as a speech therapist working with children with various communication, behavioral, and sensory-motor difficulties, I seek solutions that not only support therapy but also facilitate the child's real participation in the learning process.
In this context, I have introduced "Stoleto" dynamic chairs and active sitting accessories into my work, including a balance chair, a kneeling chair for dynamic sitting, and a balance board.
Even in the initial stages of using them, a significant difference became apparent in the way children organize their bodies during work. Instead of requiring constant correction and reminding, the seated position begins to regulate itself more naturally in the course of the activity itself.
This leads to:
- more sustained attention without the need for frequent interruptions;
- better coordination between motor activity and cognitive tasks;
- reduction of tension and motor disorganization;
- smoother engagement in therapeutic tasks and interaction with the therapist;
- creation of conditions for active self-regulation without the need for constant external intervention;
- optimization of the learning process by reducing the need for behavioral corrections;
- supporting the building of sustainable habits for correct posture in a real learning environment, not just in controlled conditions;
- improving the overall effectiveness of children's participation in group and individual activities.
This is particularly clear in children for whom movement is a leading need—for them, dynamic sitting does not limit activity, but structures and directs it in support of the learning and therapeutic process.
In my practice, this leads to a tangible change—instead of compensating for difficulties, the environment begins to work in support of the child.
The systematic use of this type of seating also contributes to building more sustainable habits for posture, supporting the natural maintenance of a more balanced and functional sitting position.
From this point of view, it can be accepted that active sitting solutions are important not only within the framework of specific therapy but also as part of a broader approach to preventing the consequences of prolonged incorrect sitting.
Based on my professional experience, I believe that "Stoleto" dynamic chairs and active sitting accessories represent a practical, justified, and applicable solution that corresponds to modern requirements for creating an adapted and healthy educational environment.
Their application is appropriate both in therapeutic practices and in schools, kindergartens, and other educational and state institutions where effective solutions for improving concentration, behavior, and participation of children in the learning process are sought.
This recommendation is provided to serve as a reference document for decision-making, applying for, and implementing active sitting equipment in educational and institutional environments.
